PRO TIP: This place is pretty tiny but in the best way, so arrive early if you want a good seat. I like going on Wednesdays for Wine Wednesday + the live jazz jam.
Grab a seat, order a drink, and settle in for live music seven nights a week from 9 PM to midnight. Since 2001, this 16th St gem has been keeping Denver’s late-night crowd entertained long after dinner is over.

PRO TIP: Stay for the second set. The energy tends to pick up later in the evening when the crowd settles in. Maybe it’s the alcohol, maybe it’s the band, but either way.
A beloved Denver institution, Dazzle is where world-class jazz, great food & drinks, and an intimate setting come together for the perfect night out. Be sure to get tickets in advance though, they often sell out!

PRO TIP: Don't wait until the last minute to get your tickets. While they sell tickets at the door (if available), the most popular shows often sell out before the day of the performance.

Velvet Elk Lounge ~ the opposite of Herbs, this is a cozy hidden gem in downtown Boulder with loungey vibes and an eclectic lineup

🎷 Start with the house favorite cocktail.
🎷 Sit close enough to actually watch them play, that’s the best part!
🎷 Silence your phone. Seriously.
🎷 Stay for one more set. Tell them I twisted your arm.
🎷 Dress up a little if you feel so inclined. We’re in Colorado so no one is going to care either way, but sometimes it adds to the experience.
🎷 Some places deserve to be savored, not rushed.
